Music Disliked

I believe we all have a personal musical identity, just like we all have a different fingerprint. The songs we choose to listen to (and those we don't) shape our lives in unique ways. One man's favorite song is nails on a chalkboard to his neighbor. These are songs that I, R.F., particularly dislike. They do nothing for me and leave me unimpressed. However, I'm fascinated beyond words to find out how others view these songs. What are other people's emotional attachments and reactions to them? And, will any of these songs begin to grow on me? In a sense I don't really believe there is such thing as a 'good' song or a 'bad' song, with the exception of moral themes in lyrics. Songs are not definably ugly or pretty - they mean something different to everyone. They are simply liked and disliked. So, what shall we say of these songs that this blogger just doesn't like? I really, really, really encourage comments and discussion!
